The Blog

Join me every month while I dive into sessions, show examples of my work in more detail and give advice to other aspiring boudoir photographers on my blog.  What can you hope to achieve reading this blog?

An inside look into creative sessions

Each month I try to experiment with at least one session, these are discounted sessions for clients who are happy to share images and if you'd like to be considered for a creative session please do subscribe for updates. These creative sessions usually create amazingly different photographs unlike most boudoir photographers in the UK and I am always striving for a uniqueness that aligns with my clients personality and individuality.

More in-depth full sessions

I also show more in-depth shoots from parties, cake smashes and engagements among other on location and studio portrait sessions for those wishing to see a more in depth look at how their shoots may look and what I can achieve.

Studio Boundaries

The blog is also where you may wish to read my studio boundaries for Boudoir sessions, these boundaries differ from studio to studio and I want to be upfront about these before you enquire incase you are looking to create images with a partner or video footage etc.

Some tips and tricks I've picked up

I love everything about photography, I definitely identify as a bit of a photography nerd! As I buy new kit and experiment I hope to pass on some of the lessons I learn to other photography nerds!

From Engagement to 'I Do': Why Building a Relationship with Your Photographer Is Key: Botleys Mansion.

Updated: Aug 18

Fancy A Grand Manor Wedding In Surrey?

Botleys Mansion, owned by Harper Weddings and situated in Surrey, UK, has a rich history dating back to its construction in the early 1800s.

The mansion was originally built by a prominent figure in the local community and has since become a notable example of Federal-style architecture. Throughout its existence, Botleys Mansion has recently undergone restoration efforts to maintain its historical significance and more recently it has been renovated again to offer a high end luxury choice for aesthetic-focused brides and grooms.

Chloe and Luke were particularly drawn to the grand conservatory where Chloe could walk down a staircase into her ceremony but Botley's provides countless opportunities for epic photos including several stylish rooms, staircases, a pergola outside and lush expansive grounds.

I saw the venue styled when we attended for an hour for Chloe & Luke's pre-wedding shoot and it is truly so gorgeous, whatever room you decide on is full of light for a ceremony and full of grand glamour.

Getting Comfortable: Why an Engagement Session Is the Perfect Warm-Up

Lifts, dips, kissing in front of strangers? Does this sound like an anxiety-provoking affair? Then a pre-wedding or engagement session is definitely for you. A little like the first time down a slide as a child the first photoshoot shakes off the nerves so that you can enjoy and maybe even look forward to your couples shoot on your wedding day!

Pre-wedding shoots give you the chance to discuss what works best for you with your photographer, without the pressure of time. You might try a dip and decide it's not your style, or find a lift romantic enough to include on your wedding day. Each pose helps build your confidence and refine your preferences.

As well as on-the-shoot confidence building, the results from your shoot can help cement your choice of photographer and allow you to let go and trust that on your wedding day, they know what they're doing and will be creating some gorgeous images.

Beyond the Photos: The Emotional Value of an Engagement Session

Being with your intended for some photos ahead of your wedding is a wonderful chance to relax and get excited together. I'll often ask you questions that elicit an emotional response like: 'tell partner a about the moment you decided to propose' or 'can you tell partner b what you love most about them' it's partly to get a real genuine emotion for your image and also because how you feel when you see an image is as important as what you see and if you remember the love you felt in that moment you'll love the photos even more.

Booking an engagement session first?

I offer an opportunity to get to know me first in an engagement session for £400, if you decide to go ahead and book my full-day wedding package you'll be able to use the investment of the shoot towards your full-day balance.

Getting married? I'd love to hear more about your big day!
